Tangerine oranges contain 88% of water, Carbohydrates and lots of fiber. It is excellent for weight loss diets mainly, due to its amounts of citric acid which helps burning body fat. mandarin oranges contain:

  1. Vitamins:  C, Pro A, and small amounts of B1, B2, B3, B6.
  2. Minerals: Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus.
  3. Other: Folic Acid, Citric Acid (a lot), Oxalic acid, Beta-Carotene, Antioxidants

The Tangerine's major component is water and compared to other fruits of its kind. It provides less sugar content than the rest, and therefore, less calories.

The fiber percentage on Tangerine oranges is appreciable, so its consumption stimulates intestinal transit, mostly found whithin the white tissue between the pulp and its rind.
Among all of the vitamins contained on the Tangerine orange, the C stands first. Even though  it has less vitamin C than the common orange, the Folic acid and provitamin A is found in higher amounts than on any other citrus fruit. It also contains remarkable amounts of Citric Acid, Potassium and Magnesium.
Lesser amounts of group B vitamins can be found on it with minerals like Calcium, but in less quantity than other foods like dairy.
