It stimulates heart activity and counteracts the high blood pressure. The red guava contains higher amounts of vitamins A, B1, B2, B12 and iron than the white's guava which has more E vitamin, It's also low in sodium but with higher amounts of potasium. And not only the fruit is beneficial, for example if we take its leaves, branches or its tree bark to prepare infusions, they can be used as an intestinal astringent or even for stomach pains. Also if you have inflamed or ulcerated gums or other kind of oral wounds the gargles with the infusion are pretty usefull because they are astringent and antiseptic. These infusions can even be used as compress for wound healing and to treat other kind of skin deseases.
